WEEKLY
ROUND UP! (Everything that Happened this week)
The Seahawks improve to a 2-0 record after Sunday
nights thrilling win over Patriots. This week they play Dak Prescot and the
Cowboys (1-1). This week’s addition of Hawks Weekly Round Up gives insight on
Damon Harrison's planned Visit to Seattle, Week 3 predictions, and rookie
starters versus Dallas.
v
Damon “Snacks” Harrison
to Visit Seattle
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Harrison wants
to play this year after considering retiring last year. The 31-year-old was
once NFL’s top defensive tackles (DT). Despite not being at the top of his game
last year, he was still productive. At 350lbs and 6 foot 4 the veteran DT had
over 45 tackles and 2 sacks. With the 2 games we saw from the Seahawks, they got
better at stopping the run. You saw how New England could not get any momentum
with their running backs and Cam Newton had to do most of the running himself.
You might still be concerned about the pass rush, but Its only been 2 weeks and
I think you will see more production from the front 4 as the year progresses. Harrison
is still a powerful run stuffer and adding a talent like him to a good run stopping
unit would never hurt. Also, behind the 2 starters – Jarran Reed and Puna Ford,
there is not a lot of depth. There are guys with potential behind those 2, but
Harrison would be a great rotational talent.
v
Week 3 NFL Predictions
(Top 3 close games)
Packers (2-0) @ Saints (1-1), Mercerize Benz super-dome
5:20pm (PST)
Packers Over Saints by 10 points
The Packers looked Phenomenal last 2 weeks and
after seeing the saints loose vs. the Raiders, I started to question Drew Brees’s
talent. With their top wide receiver – Michael Thomas questionable, and the
Packers excellent coverage and run stopping ability, I could see them wining a
close one. And Packer’s QB - Arron Rogers, may still be one of NFL’s best.
Rams (2-0) @ Bills (2-0), Bills Stadium 10:00am (PST)
Rams Over Bills by 4 points
Man, this is a close one. Bills QB – Josh Allen
showing a lot of promise but is his throwing ability better than Jalen Ramsey’s
tight coverage, or can he beat the pass rush of Arron Donald? Bills are the
favorites to win their division, but this may be the comeback year for Goff and
the Rams since they lost to the Patriots in the Super Bowl. That Rams’s team
looks scary going 2-0, I can see them winning in another close one.
Cowboys (1-1) @ Seahawks
(2-0), Century Link Field 1:25pm (PST)
Seahawks Over Cowboys by
8 points
A great match up, Dak
vs. Russ. Both teams are infected with the “injury bug” but the Cowboys may be
as injured as the 49ers. Their secondary is week with injuries to starting cornerbacks
and
Linebackers. Wilson will “Cook” something great
against the cowboys just like he did with the Falcons with DK and Tyler as his secret
ingredients. Hopefully with Quandre Diggs will be back, it should sure up the
middle of the field for the Hawks. And the Seahawks should be able to hold Elliot
from not having an explosive game, and Seahawks should win in a high scoring
game.
v
Jordan Brooks To start
at Linebacker (LB) vs Dallas?
Yes, After the ACL Injury
to LB/DE Bruce Irvin Pete Carol announced that Brooks will have the start vs. Dallas.
The 1st round pick out of Texas Tech is a speedy and a sure tackler.
He will get a chance to display his speed this Sunday against the Cowboys. But There
still is one question, Irvin Played Defensive end (DE) on nickel and running downs,
will We occasionally see Jordan Brooks as a DE? He is fast enough to speed rush
those offensive linemen. And he can hold the edge to. So, will we see him as a
DE on nickel plays? I guess we’ll have to wait until Sunday to know.
